In The Huffington Post on May 14th, 2014, I published Part II of Can Long Island Be Saved.  The meeting was largely about the importance of creating an ocean outfall pipe for a rebuilt Bay Park Sewage Treatment Plant. Without an outfall pipe, the high nitrogen effluent will finally finish off what’s left of The Western Bays, new plant or not.
