Save The Great South Bay has a simple approach:   Allow the scientists for once to set the policy, not the politicians.    We are aggregating here all pertinent environmental reports, analyses, studies on The Great South Bay from a variety of institutions, governmental, non-profit, and academic.    Whether from The New York State and its Department of Environmental Conservation, from environmental non-profits like The Nature Conservancy, The Citizens Coalition for the Environment, The Peconic Baykeepers (part of a national organization defending bays, ponds, streams, rivers, and estuaries across the country) , from academic institutions like Stonybrook University and its Marine Biology department, or from other non-profits trying to save other bays across the country and around the world,  we will post the best information we have on restoring bay habitats, for that is our goal.
