Learn about the mental health benefits of a Bay Friendly Yard and a healthy ecosystem presented by Kristen Perret, PhD on behalf of local environmental non-profit Save The Great South Bay. The webinar will include a 20-minute presentation with plenty of times for audience Q&A.

About Dr. Kristin Perret: Kristin A. Perret, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist, specialized in children, adolescents, emerging adults, and families. She presently teaches and supervises at St. John’s University and is in private practice in Westbury, NY.
Dr. P specializes in treating mood disorders, disordered eating, stress management, ADHD, borderline personality disorder, and non-suicidal self-injurious behaviors. She utilizes evidence-based interventions (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT); and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Dr. P has given numerous lectures and workshops to professional and lay audiences, and provided training to medical students at MMC. She has also had featured articles and interviews for media and public relations opportunities such as: care.com, Voice of America, and Carolina Parent Magazine. As a clinician, Dr. Perret takes a collaborative approach to facilitate communication, growth and lasting behavioral change.

Our Bay Friendly Yard series demonstrates the accessibility of a Bay Friendly Yard to each and every Long Island resident, helping to restore the Great South Bay, and with that strengthen our South Shore communities.
This program is co-presented by the Village of Amityville, Amityville Public Library, Lindenhurst Public Library, Babylon Public Library and the Nathaniel Conklin House Community Cultural and Educational Center.
