Help your South Shore community!  Take part in our 3rd Annual Creek Defender Day!
Our aim is to have a Creek Defender for every community along The Great South Bay, from Massapequa to Mastic.  We know thus far that we have Todd Brice in Amityville, Todd Shaw in Babylon, Tom Kaine in Bayshore, James Bertsch in Sayville,  Bob Draffin in Bayport, Jason Borowski in Blue Point, Creek Defenders bring together the whole community, championing local stewardship.
To heal a creek and help the bay, you need everyone — local schools, boy scouts, girl scouts, the PTA, the Rotary Club and The Chamber of Commerce, The Kiwanis Club, our houses of worship, all our officials at the village, town, county, state, and federal levels.
Here is what’s possible when a community comes together:
If you’d like to participate in this year’s Creek Defender Day, whether as a volunteer, a Creek Defender (one capable of organizing one’s community around local stewardship), email us at [email protected]
Healthier creeks will lead to a healthier bay.  It’s the mainland that’s sick, the bay is a  symptom.
We hope to see you out there with your community’s Creek Defender.
