Hey Lindy! Here’s an opportunity to start where you stand and join local Creek Defender Dave Schrader as he teams up with the Lindenhurst Memorial Library on the Great Give Back Day 2020, Saturday, October 17th, to conduct clean ups along the Neguntatogue Creek.
Scout groups, sports teams and families welcome as are local civic orgs and company teams! Community service forms available for those who need them.
To participate, come on down on 10/17 between 10 AM-2 PM to the Lindenhurst Library at One Lee Avenue (off Wellwood) to pick up gloves, bags, and pickers, along with a map of an area in need of clean up. To maintain social distancing, all groups will work independently and masks are required.
The Great Give Back is a community service initiative created by the Suffolk County Public Library Directors Association and the Suffolk Cooperative Library System, in conjunction with the Nassau Library System. The mission of The Great Give Back is to provide a day of opportunities for the patrons of the Public Libraries of New York State to participate in meaningful, service-oriented experiences.
