Invasive Removal – Pattersquash Creek

On Saturday, December 10 from 9 AM – 3 PM, Mastic Beach Creek Defender Walt Meshenberg will be leading up an invasive plant removal along the Pattersquash Creek and replacing them with native plants. This project is being done in collaboration with the Pattersquash Creek Civic Association, the Mastic Beach Conservancy, and volunteers in accordance with DEC guidelines. All volunteers are welcome to join in this expansive effort.
This is a muddy job so please dress appropriately for muck – waders or tall waterproof boots, if you have them, and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty!
