From energy policy, to transportation, housing, water management and land use,  the organization  assembled a large list of initiatives for the New York State Energy and Research Development Authority (NYSERDA) to consider as it reviews applications for grants to support sustainability projects.   Over the next three years, New York State will issue $90 million in local grants for projects that can make our communities more green and sustainable.   In the wake of Sandy, Long Island should be a major recipient of these funds.
