What does it mean to be a Champion?
Save the Great South Bay is a local 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the restoration and protection of Long Island’s Great South Bay. Through community-driven efforts—including creek restoration, oyster population replenishment, education and advocacy—we are working to bring our bay back to health.
This isn’t just about water. It’s about heritage, community, and legacy. Many of us grew up clamming, sailing, and swimming in the bay. Today, it’s facing serious challenges—and we believe it’s our responsibility to heal it, for ourselves and for future generations.
