Join The Blue Point Community Coalition on Creek Defender Day April 13th 9-12 as they clean along Purgatory and Corey Creek and promote "Bay Friendly Yards" along the creeks so that the water flowing in is cleaner and native habitat can be restored.
Come help heal The Great South Bay by cleaning up around Carll's River and by helping to plant a swamp forest! It will be a total community effort!
Each year, The Great South Bay Society stages a fall clean up of the marsh islands off Amityville. Led by Creek Defender Todd Brice, they scour the islands for trash. Drift wood, plastic bottles, shotgun shell casings (from duck hunters), and odder things like a TV for instance. It's quite a flotilla! Come down to Amityville this Saturday and be part of the adventure!
