Not only are our coastal ecosystems affected by pollutants, climate change, habitat destruction, and political expediency, now another threat looms, namely seismic airgun testing. The testing is expected to kill over 130,000 marine mammals and sea turtles alone, if implemented. Why seismic air gun tests? To search for fossil fuel deposits offshore. The present administration and congress, like all the others, are hell-bent on searching for fossil fuels, no matter what the costs. We have to stand up for our coastal systems and the rest of the planet. We have to move away from fossil fuels, reduce our carbon footprints and reduce our rapacious need for energy, resources, and material stuff. Please view this video and join the fights. Let’s recapture our planet from those destroying it.
